Langgaard and the music of love

The Gramophone website this week had a feature on Langgaard, primarily discussing his quartets. In the background when I opened it, there were a few bars of something playing over and over in the background. I don't know Langgaard's music well enough to know if it was his--does anyone know what the music is.

This is the second post I've seen that refers to music playing in the background of Gramophone online articles. (The other was a review of Brahms 3rd Symphony recordings).  I hear nothing with either of these - though my speaker works perfectly when its supposed to. Is the background music supposed to be there, or does it come from somewhere else?

RE: Langgaard and the music of love

Good morning,

The explaination is that one of the adverts running on our site played(or plays) an excerpt of their recording when it appears - because ads are on rotation, it isn't always present. I hope that helps!

Best wishes

Thanks for that Martin.

And better not to begin to think about the mysterious factors that determine which advertisements each of us, differently, gets on our screens!
