Lissenden

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and I fear this post is a little off topic. I'm interested in Lissenden the illustrator who drew the caricatures featured in The Gramophone between approximately 1929 and 1933. His works can be seen in the archive. The caricatures are of the stars of the day and notable figures in the record industry. I think it may be a long shot but wondered if anybody knew anything about (I believe) the man.

Regards,

Patrick

as if Lissenden was a pen name of Vernon Lissenden Soper.

It looks as if he was moderately prolific and probably illustrated some of the books that were around when I was a kid.

Good hunting.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've looked at the article aswell, but I've an inkling it may not be the chap. Although he did four years of work for The Gramophone he doesn't appear to have been particularly prolific. I'll keep looking.

Thanks again,
