Gluck - Iphigenie en Aulide

I have been left an album of 13 No.78rpm discs of Acts 1 - 26 of this opera on the label MSS Recordings Ltd.  However, the album they are in says on the cover, "Schonberg Guerre-Leider, Leopold Stokpowski" and embossed Album No 150.  I presume that this has just proved a handy place to store them.  Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks

Martin

RE: Gluck - Iphigenie en Aulide

Well, I'd be more interested in Stokowski's rendition of the Gurrelieder than in boring old Gluck - but that's just me. The 1932 Philadelphia recording is an all-time classic (you can listen to it here:  http://www.stokowski.org/1932_Electrical_Recordings_Stokowski.htm )

How about securing an old turntable that playes 78rpm at your local dump shop and finding out what it is?
