Hello, I bought a Spectrum CD

Hello, I bought a Spectrum CD containing Rachmaninov 2nd piano concerto, Beethoven 2 and four bagathelles, with Hanae Nakajima and Rato Tschupp conducting the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, and I'm very surprised with it. The sound 4,5 (in scale 1-7), orchestral conduction....appropiate but the soloist superlative! soon will be in my Youtube's channel. Best regards oscar.olavarria

Hanae Nakajima

<p>I too would like to know more about Hanae Nakajima. I have 3 of the original Windmill LPs including Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody with his 2nd Piano Concerto, Beethoven's Emperor Concerto - as it was the BBC top bargain recommendation many years ago, if I remember correctly, AND BEETHOVEN'S 2ND PIANO CONCERTO. [I DON'T KNOW WHY THESE UPPER CASE LETTERS HAVE GOT IN - AND I CAN'T GET RID OF THEM! ] - ALL WITH THE NUREMBURG SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND I THINK, RATO TSCHUPP. EVEN HER DATE OF BIRTH WOULD BE GOOD TO KNOW,

Arrberton

Nakajima's Schubert

I am listening with much pleasure to Nakajima's complete Schubert sonatas – she uses Badura-Skoda's completions of the incomplete works, which means that you get the beautiful sonatas in F-sharp minor and F minor – two real treasures.

She plays with warmth and grace, though perhaps missing some of the intensity of the darker moments. Michael Endres' recordings are the nearest to them in spirit and conception.
