We meet the people and artists behind the acclaimed French institution

To conclude our podcasts for 2018, we profile our 2018 label of the year - Harmonia Mundi. Editor Martin Cullingford spent time last summer in Arles, the label’s home in the South of France, and spoke to various artists - both established and newly-signed - about what Harmonia Mundi and indeed recording itself means to them. In the middle, he meets with the head of the label Christian Girardin to learn how Harmonia Mundi came about, and also to discuss how a classical label evolves in the face of the changes that streaming has brought, and how it can continue to develop the great artists of the future.
