The Michael Oliver Trust – founded in the memory of the much-missed Gramophone critic, a life-long lover of the human voice and the music of Handel – is holding a fundraising 'scratch' Handel Coronation Anthems at London's Grosvenor Chapel on March 16.

The event, conducted by acclaimed early music specialist Laurence Cummings, is being held in collaboration with the London Handel Festival. The Trust funds the Michael Oliver Prize at the Festival's annual Handel Singing Competition, past winners of which include tenor Andrew Kennedy and countertenor Iestyn Davies.

The day starts with a workshop at 11am, followed by a public performance at 7pm. Tickets for performers are £25 – the first 10 people mentioning the Gramophone website will get a ticket for £15; non-singers £10; students £8. Click here for details.
