Wonderful insights into Beethoven's masterpiece from the Argentine pianist
Nelson's Goerner's first sudio recording of Beethoven's music will be released by Alpha Classics on September 23, the album features the Six Bagatelles, Op 126, and the mighty Hammerklavier Sonata. In the beautifully produced video below (in French with English subtitles), Goerner performs extracts from the sonata and explains the particular demands that Beethoven's composition places on the pianist:
