The photos above are taken from Clare Norburn's new concert drama Breaking the Rules: the imagined testimony of Carlo Gesualdo, composer and murderer. This production, directed by Nicholas Renton and starring Gerald Kyd alongside the Marian Consort, will be premiered on May 19 at the Newbury Spring Festival and will then tour throughout the summer at festivals throughout the UK, including Brighton Festival (May 20), Cambridge Summer Music Festival (July 18), Lammermuir Festival (September 12) and Music at Oxford (November 6).
