Buckfast Abbey has announced its 2025 organ recital series, which open on Saturday 21 June with a recital from Karol Mossakowski, organist at Saint-Sulpice in Paris.

Mossakowski will play the Abbey's Ruffatti organ, installed in 2018, in a recital of music by his two predecessors Marcel Dupré’s Cortège et Litanie and Charles-Marie Widor’s Symphonie Romane, as well as his transcriptions of solo piano works by Mendelssohn, Chopin and Liszt. He will conclude with an improvisation on a submitted theme.

The second recital on 19 July will Sub-Organist of Westminster Abbey Peter Holder perform a programe of music by Harris, Weir, Walton, Elgar, and Farrington, as well as Widor's Symphonie No 5.

Recitals later in the year include the London Oratory's Ben Bloor on 6 September and the Buckfast Abbey Organists on 18 October.

Tickets for the concert are priced at £10 and are available to purchase from the website or from the Abbey Gift Shop. All recitals are at 7:30pm. buckfast.org.uk
