Dedicated classical music app now available for even more users

Classical listeners throughout the world have already discovered Apple’s app dedicated to the genre, Apple Music Classical – but until this month it was limited to people using Apple’s own devices. An Android version was always set to follow, but it’s now been released, making the app – which offers user-friendly and clearly-presented classical data and search, and is packed with playlists build around themes from composers to moods – available to even more mobile phone users.

Launched at the end of March, Apple Music Classical offers access to the world’s largest classical music catalogue of over five million tracks in the highest audio quality (up to 192 kHz/24 bit Hi-Res Lossless) with thousands of recordings in immersive spatial audio, as well as numerous exclusive albums.

It requires a subscription to Apple Music (Individual, Student, Family or Apple One) and is available worldwide (except for China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan with those regions following). Apple Music Classical for Android can be downloaded from the Google Play store.

More information about Apple Music Classical can be found at our initial news story announcing its launch.
