A sublime arrangement performed by Berginald Rash and Fiona Gryson

Take a moment of solace with our Video of the Day - a performance of Debussy's Petite Piéce by Berginald Rash and Fiona Gryson in an arrangement for clarinet and harp. The work features on a new album of clarinet chamber works by the likes of Saint-Saëns, Ravel and Cahuzac entitled 'Dathanna: Hues and Shades' which releases today.

Now a staple of any clarinettist’s repertoire, Claude Debussy's Petite Piéce (very literally a little piece!) was originally conceived as a sight-reading audition piece for the Paris Conservatoire in 1910. It's gentle lilting rhythms and ethereal whole-tone harmonies prove that sight-reading isn’t all that bad!

'Dathanna: Hues and Shades' releases today and can be heard below via Apple Music
