Exploring 90 years of classical recording

Martin Cullingford
Sunday, April 14, 2013

This month marks 90 years since Compton Mackenzie founded Gramophone magazine - our celebratory issue is available to buy now.

To mark the occasion, editor Martin Cullingford explored the major milestones in classical recording over those nine decades for an anniversary Podcast, talking to Gramophone writers Rob Cowan and Richard Lawrence, and editor-in-chief James Jolly, and featuring excerpts from some of the 20th century's major releases. The Podcast is the second in our series of Gramophone Milestones Podcast, in association with EFG International.
