Announcing the winners of our 12 recording categories

Gramophone Awards 2017

It is our very great pleasure to reveal the 12 recordings that have won 2017 Gramophone Classical Music Awards, which are presented in association with the Pan-Armenian Symphony Orchestra, Qobuz, Naim Audio and BPI.

These 12 releases have been deemed by our panel of critics to be the most outstanding in their respective categories, from Early Music to Contemporary, and have been selected from the shortlist of 72 that we unveiled last month. This year's list of winners includes recordings from Murray Perahia, Iestyn Davies, Masaaki Suzuki, Isabelle Faust, Sir George Benjamin, Joyce DiDonato, and many more.

To explore this year's 12 Award-winning recordings, please visit the Gramophone Awards page.

Gramophone Awards ceremony (September 13)

Each of this year's winners will be honoured at the Gramophone Awards Ceremony on the evening of September 13. During the ceremony we will also reveal our Artist and Young Artist of the Year, Label of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award and, of course, Recording of the Year.

Watch the Gramophone Awards live

As with last year's ceremony, the entire event will be live-streamed by medici.tv, and you will be able to enjoy the broadcast both on their website and on our own Awards page. The whole ceremony will also be available to watch at classicfm.com and on Classic FM’s Facebook page. And as we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Gramophone Awards this year there will also be some very special surprise Awards and performances – so don't miss it!

We will also be covering the ceremony live on Twitter (#GramoAwards) and Facebook, so make sure you are following us to keep up-to-date with events as they happen.

Until then, enjoy exploring the 12 outstanding category winners: Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2017
