Edinburgh-based Delphian Records has just released a three-CD set and downloads of the complete songs of Sergey Rachmaninov. Seven singers take us through the 72 songs, but only one pianist, Iain Burnside who masterminded the project. Gramophone’s James Jolly caught up with Iain to talk about this huge undertaking.
