Acoustic recordings and Tolstoy’s readings remastered by Deutsche Grammophon

Deutsche Grammophon have announced a fascinating new project, produced in association with Google Arts & Culture, which seeks to restore and remaster hundreds of shellac recordings for the digital age, featuring voice recordings by Leo Tolstoy and performances by the likes of John McCormack, Otto Klemperer, Louis Armstrong and Pietro Mascagni (conducting his own music).
