A captivating performance of a folk song from their new album, 'Last Leaf'
The Danish String Quartet's new album, 'Last Leaf', features Nordic folk songs in new arrangements, which our reviewer Andrew Mellor described as 'a heartfelt, thoroughly researched and exquisitely performed journey' in the December 2017 issue (read the review). The quartet have just released a video performance of the song 'Æ Rømeser', which captures the spirit of melancholy and contemplation that pervades the whole album:
