The Met: Live in HD will broadcast Michael Mayer's new production of Verdi's Rigoletto on Saturday February 16, 2013 to more than 1900 cinemas around the world. Set in the 1960s, the production takes place in Las Vegas and stars Željko Lučić, Diana Damrau and Piotr Beczala as Rigoletto, Gilda and the Duke of Mantua respectively. Conducting the opera is Michele Mariotti, who made his Met debut earlier this season with Bizet’s Carmen.
