In the October issue of Gramophone, the hugely talented young pianist Daniil Trifonov talks to Hugo Shirley about his new recording of Chopin's Piano Concertos, which also features an account of Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu and Mompou's Chopin Variations.

DG have produced a wonderfully dream-like video performance by Trifonov of the Fantaisie-Impromptu in which the pianist's imaginings appear to spring to life as he plays. It's certainly a novel approach!
