This Friday's Christmas treat comes courtesy once again of the Live from London Christmas 2021 Festival, and is another excerpt from ‘A Christmas Cracker’, the season's opening concert.

As with Gabriel's Message from two weeks ago, it's another arrangement of a well known carol - this time Joy to the World, written in 1719 by Isaac Watts, and here arranged in jubilant style by Taylor Scott Davis (this performance is in fact the arrangement's world premiere performance). The VOCES8 Foundation Choir and Orchestra (again led by Jack Liebeck, and also featuring a number of star soloists among their players) are conducted by Barnaby Smith, VOCES8's artistic director.
