Today's Video of the Day comes from the premiere recording of Mårten Jansson’s ‘Requiem Novum’, which sets poems by Charles Anthony Silvestri interwoven with the text of the Requiem Mass. It's performed by soprano Anna Dennis, the VOCES8 Foundation Choir (drawing on members of VOCES8 and APOLLO5, and friends) and the Philharmonia Orchestra, and conducted by Barnaby Smith.

While the album is available today - and can be heard further down the page - the full film from which this movement, 'Pie Jesu', is taken will be broadcast on Easter Day, April 17, as part of the LIVE From London Easter Festival. Full details here.
