The two-time Gramophone Award winner is celebrating his 50th birthday

To mark his 50th birthday, pianist Steven Osborne will perform in a special concert at Wigmore Hall this evening. The two-time Gramophone Award winner – for an album featuring Mussorgsky and Prokofiev in 2013, and Britten's Piano Concerto in 2009 – will be performing music by Ravel and Schubert, and joined by musical colleagues soprano Ailish Tynan, clarinetist Jean Johnson, violinist Alina Ibragimova, cellist Bjørg Lewis and fellow pianist Paul Lewis. You can watch it for free at 7.30pm at Wigmore Hall's website.

In the meantime, though, here is Steven Osborne playing Brahms's Intermezzo Op 117, No 1, recorded by Opera North at the Howard Assembly Room as part of its Lullaby Project.
