Edward Lewis

Sir Edward Lewis (Decca)
Born: 1900
Died: 1980

Lewis led Decca from 1929 until his death, transforming it into a major label. He famously said, ‘A company manufacturing gramophones but not records is rather like one making razors but not the consumable blades’.
