The violinist on his new album of two beautifully lyrical 20th century works

Violinist James Ehnes joins the Gramophone Classical Music Podcast this week to talk about his new album for Pentatone of Leonard Bernstein's Serenade and John Williams's Violin Concerto No 1. In conversation with Editor Martin Cullingford he explores these two beautiful, lyrical works – which he's recorded with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and conductor Stéphane Denève – and discusses the ongoing musical and cultural impact of their composers.

This Gramophone Podcast is produced in association with Wigmore Hall.
