The pianist and teacher talks about Volume 2 of her BBC recordings

In July last year, the first volume of recordings made by renowned teacher Norma Fisher for the BBC in the 1970s was released by Sonetto Classics, to impressive acclaim. The album earned a Gramophone Editor's Choice and was named by one of our critics, Michelle Assay, as her album of the year in our Critics' Choice feature. An equally fascinating second volume - featuring works by Liszt, Schumann, Debussy and André Tchaikowsky – has just been released (earning another Editor's Choice as our Archive Recording of the Month in the current edition of Gramophone).

In the latest Gramophone podcast, Editor Martin Cullingford meets the pianist to talk about her life and career, about the condition that forced her to give up public performance in the 1980s, about her teaching work, and about these fascinating recordings from the BBC archives.
