Andrea Zani was born in 1696 and worked for a time in Vienna. His Op. 2 (1729) consists of six each of sinfonias and concertos. This disc features five of the concertos whose three-movement layout and internal structure reflect Vivaldian influence. There are some effective ideas but they lack sustained interest and the performances are uneven.'
