An interesting mixture of nineteenth-century German and twentieth-century French organ music persuasively performed on the 1862 Cavaille-Coll organ in St Sulpice. The Mendelssohn Sonata No. 4 and Rheinberger pieces work best though the rest of the disc is also enjoyable. Choplin’s own improvisation on La creation is worth hearing – just the once.'
